FCA History
In 1994, a group of Folsom residents interested in the performing arts formed the first Board of Directors of a fledgling concert association. Out of their interest and willingness to serve their community, the Folsom Lake Community Concert Association (FLCCA) was born. In 2019, FLCCA was changed to the Folsom Concert Association or FCA.
Today, we continue our dedication to bringing concerts of the highest quality to Folsom and the surrounding communities. The Folsom Concert Association contracts with national and international talent to provide a diversified genre of music for their patrons and guests.
We also provide music to students and seniors who are unable to attend concerts at no cost to them.
We do what no one else does!
Dedicating the 25th Anniversary of Folsom Concert Association to Dick Merz, Founder Emeritus!
In 1994 a group Folsom residents headed up by founder, Dick Merz, met around his kitchen table to discuss putting together affordable concerts for citizens of Folsom and the surrounding communities. In the spring of 1995, the Folsom Concert Association was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Keeping the tradition alive for our 25th Anniversary season, the Association continues its dedication by bringing affordable concerts of the highest quality to the greater Folsom area by contracting with national and international talent to provide diverse genres of music for their patrons and guests.
Dick continues to be an active Board Member providing guidance and leadership. To further honor Dick, we awarded two R.E. (Dick) Merz Founder Emeritus $5,000 Scholarships: one to Elizabeth Aquino and one to Margaret Enriguez.
